Dan Janvey


Dan Janvey is an independent producer and founding member of Court 13, an independent filmmaking collective. He has produced Beasts of the Southern Wild, which won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance, the Camera D’or at Cannes, and is nominated for four 2013 Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress and Best Adapted Screenplay. Additionally, Dan was nominated for PGA award for Best Picture.

He has also produced the Ross Brothers’ documentary Tchoupitoulas, which premiered at SXSW and won the HBO Emerging Artists Awards at Hot Docs. Dan participated in the Sundance Producing Labs, is a graduate of Wesleyan University, where he studied Film, and won the Akiva Goldsman Screenwriting Prize, and in 2012, he was awarded the Indian Paintbrush Creative Producing Prize. He currently resides in New Orleans, Louisiana.
