ABOUT THE FILM
Walter’s daydreams are really getting to him. In his mind, he’s another musician, making different music for different reasons. And that musician in his head – he’s dreaming about being another musician too. Following a series of fits and starts and consumed by fantasies of success and failure, Walter begins organizing his hundreds of demos to create his own first album. He re-records tracks and spends countless hours mastering his sound. Finally nearing completion, his laptop dies and he struggles to find a way to fix it – his only option seems to be selling his soul to the devil.
In this hyperreal combination of live action and animation, the act of making music transcends the limits of time and identity. The cast features popular New York comedians Sarah Tollemache, Jordan Carlos, Alexis Pereira and legendary experimental filmmaker Bill Morrison in supporting roles. The film is based on an original soundtrack by writer/director William Cusick and co-composers Jeffrey Doto & Kyle Rothermel.
