SYNOPSIS

In Between is a feature length dramatic film exploring grief, memory, and the love that stays after loss.

After the sudden death of his wife and daughter, Mo retreats into isolation in the family home they once shared. Unable to move forward and unwilling to let go, he lives in between the past and present, surrounded by objects that have become vessels for memory. When a therapist arrives, Mo reluctantly begins confronting the emotional landscape he has been avoiding.

As he navigates letters left behind by his wife, fragmented memories of family life, and encounters with his daughter's imagination, the house becomes something alive, a place where love and absence share the same space. Through a series of intimate revelations, Mo learns that grief is not something one overcomes, but something one carries, a continuation of love that changes form, but never disappears.

The film is rooted in reflective cinema and emotional realism, finding meaning in small familiar acts; folding laundry, writing letters, playing chess; things that become sacred, after the people you did them with are gone.

The film asks a universal question, one most of us will someday have to answer: How do we continue living when the people who gave our lives meaning are no longer physically present? Through its restrained visual language and deeply human storytelling, In Between seeks to create a space for audiences to reflect on their own experiences of loss, healing, connection, and presence.
