The Lower East Side Film Festival is heading back outdoors for a summer series of FREE community screenings in the East Village’s historic Tompkins Square Park at the Bandshell. Admission is free. Bring your friends, bring your dog. We’ll bring the movies.

When seven-year-old Olive is invited to compete in the "Little Miss Sunshine" pageant in far-off California, the family piles into their rusted-out VW bus to rally behind her - with riotously funny results in this sleeper hit from 2006 starring Greg Kinnear, Toni Collette, Abigail Breslin, Paul Dano, Steve Carrell, and Alan Arkin.

Bring it back to the early 2000s, watch as five Vermont state troopers, avid pranksters with a knack for screwing up, try to save their jobs and out-do the local police department by solving a crime.

Film to be introduced by members of the casts and crew of the upcoming Super Troopers 3.

In a forgotten but defiant bayou community cut off from the rest of the world by a sprawling levee, a six-year-old girl exists on the brink of orphanhood.
