seven minutes in hell

THE PROJECT
WELCOME TO HELL! Just kidding, it’s just my short. Take a trip into my own personal social anxiety haunted house and follow PJ as she shows up alone to a childhood friend’s house party, somewhere in Brooklyn. After a lackluster reunion with the only person she knows, PJ meets Liz. Liz knows everyone, PJ knows no one, so why wouldn’t PJ spend the rest of the night following Liz around, hanging on her every word? It seems like heaven, only it’s not. It’s SEVEN MINUTES IN HELL.
THE ASK
I made a lesbian slasher with my friends, Maddy and Eli. It’s called SEVEN MINUTES IN HELL, and it’s not not a self-insert Jennifer’s Body/John Tucker Must Die/Scream fanfic. A labor of love, lust, and passion - this has been years in the making. With the help of Maddy and Eli, countless other friends, and many killer collaborators, we’ve made the short! Now, I’m hoping to raise money to cover post production costs, and if possible, recoup production expenses + compensate everyone who dedicated their time, energy, and skills.
Any contribution helps! I’m aiming to raise $2,000 to cover post production costs (sound, color, score, music licensing) and an additional $1,500 - 2,500 for incurred production expenses.
I will OF COURSE be thanking each and every one of you in the rad ass credits sequence, but should any of you aspire to greater credit goals (executive producer anyone??) - well, even stolen bought well-earned valor has a price tag.
Also worth noting! The ever lovely and inspirational LOWER EAST SIDE FILM FESTIVAL has accepted my subliminal messaging and made this short one of their incredible fiscally sponsored projects! As a 501c nonprofit, this means that all donations are TAX DEDUCTIBLE, and 3% of all contributions will go into funding LESFF, the rad as hell indie film festival that I love so dearly.
